When we founded Sprint, the opportunity was clear. Egypt imports over 28 million tonnes of grain annually, and the infrastructure connecting those imports to the end consumer was fragmented, inefficient, and heavily reliant on intermediaries who added cost without adding value. We saw a different path.

By building vertically — from sourcing in the Black Sea and South America, through shipping, discharge, warehousing, trucking, and manufacturing — we have created a group that is genuinely integrated. That integration is not just a business model; it is a strategic moat. It allows us to price more competitively, deliver more reliably, and respond faster to market shifts than anyone who relies on third parties at every link in the chain.

The grain trade is a business of trust and relationships. Buyers trust us because we deliver on our commitments. Sellers trust us because we honour our obligations. Banks trust us because our operations are transparent and our risk management is disciplined. That reputation has taken years to build, and every decision we make is measured against whether it preserves or strengthens it.

Looking ahead, Egypt's population growth, urbanisation, and food security priorities will continue to drive demand for the commodities we handle. We are positioning Sprint to grow with that demand — expanding our logistics infrastructure, increasing our manufacturing capacity, and deepening our origination relationships across origin corridors. We are also expanding our export capability, taking Egyptian-milled flour to markets across Africa where we see long-term demand growth.

I am proud of the team we have built and the foundation we have laid. Sprint today is not the same company it was just last year, and Sprint in the years ahead will be a significantly larger platform. That growth will be built the same way the foundation was: carefully, deliberately, and with an uncompromising focus on execution.
